Migraines are far more than just headaches

For those people in Elizabeth who don't have migraines, it may be easy to just write them off as bad headaches, but they are so much more than that. Migraines affect people in many different ways. Some people's vision is compromised, others experience extreme pain, still others are nauseous and vomiting, and some must retreat to dark and quiet rooms. Moreover, there are some people who have a migraine once every couple of months and some who have them several times a week. For those whose migraines are severe and frequent, they may not be able to work, using Social Security disability insurance benefits to cover their living costs.

Would better sleep help alleviate fibromyalgia symptoms?

Most people in Newark are able to go to sleep at night and wake up, ready for work. Perhaps they are not as refreshed as they would like to be or as rested as they could be, but they are still able to work and make a living for themselves. For some people, however, it is not quite so easy. Some people cannot sleep through the night; some are in so much pain that they can't hold down a job. For people with fibromyalgia, a condition that causes chronic pain, it may be impossible to keep a job while in constant pain. For some, they may need to rely on federal disability benefits.

For children with Asperger's syndrome, a service dog may help

So far, our blog has talked about individuals that can be helped by Social Security disability insurance benefits, but this program cannot be used by everyone. Because this federal disability program is designed for individuals who have worked long enough to pay into the disability benefits system, children and individuals who cannot work or who have not worked long enough aren't eligible. In an effort to address these individuals' needs, the federal government awards Supplemental Security Income benefits.

When someone in Cherry Hill gets sick, he or she typically takes a few days off of work, recovers and then goes back to work. In more serious cases, he or she may need to take an extended leave, but, in the end, will find his or her way back to work. Unfortunately, some people are so severely ill that they cannot work; they have long-standing medical conditions that make it impossible to hold down any job, much less the career that they had previously had. For these people, the Social Security disability insurance benefits program provides the necessary funds that individuals with chronic, debilitating illnesses need to cover their daily costs of living.
